VISION

The educational vision held at SMIS is provided by the example of the internationally renowned, influential scholar and Vaisnava, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

He was a highly educated spiritual leader who could quote Shakespeare and Bhagavad Gita with equal ease. He was proficient in business, math, the gentle art of persuasion, philosophy and four languages. He was an excellent public speaker and a skilled writer. He was hardworking, humorous, balanced, humble, kind, bold, innovative, respectful, and highly determined. His care and concern for all people touched the hearts of those he met.

In all that we do at SMIS, we attempt to instill in the students a deep respect for such qualities and character as we find in Srila Prabhupada, and we strive to pass these on.

To nurture and shape the mind, body, intelligence and spirit of youngsters who are the future leaders of our society by immersing them in an alternative educational system that is a unique blend of traditional, eternal spiritual values and contemporary international academics.

Spiritual values provide the foundation for a successful life. Students who graduate from the SMIS will have a philosophical understanding and spiritual training that will enhance their learning and provide them with competitive life skills.
