ACADEMIC YEAR
Our school year begins in March/April after the Gaura Purnima festival. We have a major 6 week break after Radhashtami, as this is traditionally “monsoon season,” and a minor break at Rathayatra. Other holidays are based on the Vaisnava calendar and parents are informed on a yearly basis of these details. |

The main stress at SMIS is on a holistic approach to learning. Everything that we teach here encourages our students to develop a well rounded personality that will stand them in good stead throughout life. | ||

EXAMINATION BOARDS The SMIS is an independent sub-center of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), which is a division of the University of Cambridge. These qualifications are taken by over one million candidates in 157 countries each year and GCE examinations from Cambridge have been used by schools and colleges around the world for nearly 50 years. These prestigious qualifications are recognized by universities world wide for their high standards and the skills and abilities they develop in students. These exams are also recognized by Indian Universities. |

THE FUTURE THRUST The school is in the process of seeking affiliation to the Council for the Indian School Certificate for ICSE and ISC. We will then be able to offer dual affiliation to our students. |
